本課程討論法國政黨政治，包括六個部份。第一是思想和制度的歷史沿革，替多黨兩極化奠定基礎。第二是政黨組成，相關議題涵括領袖和選民基礎。第三是政黨路線，如左右兩派和中間政黨。第四是政黨功能，包括初選及政治甄選。第五是政黨體系，即多黨兩極化。第六是政黨合作。在這方面，兩點值得注意。首先是政黨在政治光譜當中的極化程度，其次是主要政黨數目和選舉實力。衍生課題包括上升型和下沉型政黨，優勢政黨，主要政黨及次要政黨等等。

This course discusses French party politics and consists of six parts. The first is the historical evolution of ideas and systems, which lays the foundation for multi-party polarization. The second is the composition of political parties. Related issues include leaders and voter base. The third is party lines, such as left, right and center parties. The fourth is the function of political parties, including primaries and political selection. The fifth is the party system, that is, multi-party polarization. The sixth is cooperation between political parties. In this regard, two points are worth noting. The first is the degree of polarization of parties in the political spectrum, and the second is the number and electoral strength of major parties. Derived topics include ascending and sinking parties, dominant parties, major parties and minor parties, etc.
