Managerial Economics
教育目標 Course Target
管理經濟學是以經濟學的觀念理解企業管理的相關議題。眾所皆知,企業管理的出現是在第一次工業革命之後,人類可以操控動力,開始集中工人在工廠生產的模式,出現工廠管理的問題;之後蒸汽機被用於鐵路運輸,出現鐵路公司和鐵路管理的問題。生產規模和交通運輸是並行的,使市場範圍擴大到全球。本課程先闡述現代企業的生產和運輸模式(大量生產,多樣化生產,客製化生產等)和成本的問題。第二部分說明市場如何交易、出現的交易成本和各種減少交易本的機制。在訂價方面,加入客戶價值訂價法,以補充傳統經濟學的成本定價法的不足。
第三部分說明現代的幾種主要經濟組織(營利組織,連鎖加盟,跨國企業和非營利事業,網路組織等)如何運作及相關的管理問題,並介紹與創新有關的議題。
第四部份為薪酬管理,藉以理解企業如何設計薪酬以推動管理效能。
Managerial economics uses economic concepts to understand issues related to business management. As we all know, business management emerged after the first industrial revolution. Human beings could control power and began to centralize workers in factory production. Problems with factory management arose. Later, steam engines were used for railway transportation, and problems with railway companies and railway management arose. Production scale and transportation are parallel, allowing the market scope to expand globally. This course first explains the production and transportation models of modern enterprises (mass production, diversified production, customized production, etc.) and cost issues. The second part explains how markets trade, the transaction costs that arise, and the various mechanisms for reducing transaction costs. In terms of pricing, the customer value pricing method is added to supplement the shortcomings of the cost pricing method of traditional economics.
The third part explains how several major modern economic organizations (for-profit organizations, franchises, multinational enterprises and non-profit undertakings, network organizations, etc.) operate and related management issues, and introduces issues related to innovation.
The fourth part is compensation management to understand how companies design compensation to promote management effectiveness.
課程概述 Course Description
經濟學主要在處理稀少資源進行最有效配置的問題。而管理經濟學,則在協助決策者(管理者)有效率的配置稀少資源、規劃企業策略、以及執行有效的策略。本課程主要以經濟學的概念,由需求面、廠商生產面,延伸討論到市場訂價等相關策略。
Economics deals primarily with the most efficient allocation of scarce resources. Managerial economics assists decision makers (managers) to efficiently allocate scarce resources, plan corporate strategies, and implement effective strategies. This course mainly uses the concepts of economics, from the demand side and the manufacturer's production side, to extend the discussion to market pricing and other related strategies.
