本課程旨在協助學生建立總體經濟學的基礎理論架構，理解國家與社會中經濟波動的形成原因，並探討各類總體經濟議題與政府經濟政策之機制，使學生能於未來面對相關政策議題時，運用經濟學的專業分析方法進行思考與判斷。本學期課程內容將聚焦於整體經濟運作，包括國民所得之衡量、通貨膨脹與失業、貨幣與金融市場、總合供需，以及財政政策與貨幣政策之分析等核心主題。
在完成此課程的學習，學生將能夠
(1)建立對總體經濟學基本概念之理解；
(2)培養以簡單模型分析整體經濟運作及政策影響之能力；
(3)了解政府財政政策與中央銀行貨幣政策的基本原理與功能；
(4)能將總體經濟理論與日常生活及時事新聞中的經濟現象相互連結。

This course aims to help students establish the basic theoretical framework of general economics, understand the causes of economic fluctuations in countries and societies, and explore the mechanisms of various general economic issues and government economic policies, so that students can use professional analysis methods in economics to think and judge when facing relevant policy issues in the future. The content of this semester's course will focus on the overall economic operation, including core topics such as the measurement of national income, inflation and unemployment, money and financial markets, aggregate supply and demand, and the analysis of fiscal policy and monetary policy.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to
(1) Establish an understanding of the basic concepts of overall economics;
(2) Cultivate the ability to use simple models to analyze overall economic operations and policy impacts;
(3) Understand the basic principles and functions of government fiscal policy and central bank monetary policy;
(4) Be able to connect general economic theory with economic phenomena in daily life and current news.
