運算式設計(Computational Design)是指利用計算機科學、數學和演算法等技術來創建和優化設計過程的方法。它結合了設計思維和計算思維,旨在提供創造性解決方案和效率優化的設計過程。
運算式設計的核心概念是將計算機科學的方法應用於設計領域,以協助設計師在設計過程中進行問題分析、生成概念、模擬和評估設計方案。
再目前的發展中,有兩大方向,一是生成式AI,二是參數式設計。
在本課程中,我們將聚焦生成式AI 來進行設計輔助,包含下面三種主要軟體:
1. Midjourney (MD)
2. Stable Diffusion (SD)
3. iScape
與本課程搭配的是建築研究所開設的參數式設計相關課程,對於運算式設計想要完整了解的同學建議修習該課程。Computational Design refers to a method that uses computer science, mathematics and algorithms to create and optimize design processes. It combines design and computing thinking, aiming to provide creative solutions and efficient design processes.
The core concept of formula design is to apply computer science methods to the design field to assist designers in problem analysis, generate concepts, simulate and evaluate design solutions during the design process.
In the current development, there are two major directions: one is generative AI, and the other is parameter design.
In this course, we will focus on generative AI for design assistance, including the following three main software:
1. Midjourney (MD)
2. Stable Diffusion (SD)
3. iScape
This course is paired with the course of parameter design related to the Architectural Institute. It is recommended to take the course for students who want a complete understanding of formula design.
