Course Target
"Biomedical Medicine" is a cross-domain science combining biology and medicine. It mainly studies the physiology and pathological mechanisms of humans. The purpose is to understand the causes of diseases, diagnosis methods and treatment strategies. The effect of music therapy in biological medicine can gradually be verified by scientific methods, especially in neuroscience, psychophysiology, rehabilitation medicine and some chronic disease care fields, which show specific medical potential, such as post-mediation, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease and dementia, but there are relatively fewer applications and clinical studies in other fields of chronic diseases such as obesity and diabetes. Since patients with chronic diseases often have pressure and emotional adjustment problems, music therapy can be used as a starting point for assisted tools to intervene. The future development of music therapy in biomedicine includes establishing clinical application standards and clinical research. This course will introduce different fields of internal medicine, including internal medicine diseases with rising prevalence rates such as obesity, epidemiotic syndrome, diabetes, etc., and use the treatment of chronic diseases in internal medicine as an example to describe the concept of clinical research, so that students can understand biological medicine research and cultivate students' ability to apply music therapy in biomedicine and related fields.
Course Description
The application of music therapy in biological medicine is increasingly being valued, and its effects can be gradually verified by scientific methods. Many patients with chronic internal medicine diseases (such as obesity, diabetes) often have pressure and emotional adjustment problems, which is the point where music therapy can be used as an auxiliary tool for intervention. This course cultivates students' ability to apply music therapy in biological medicine and related fields through introduction to the field of internal science and teaching clinical research concepts.
