本課程旨在使學生全面理解公共衛生的核心理念與全人健康觀念，並培養其促進健康、預防疾病及改善社會健康的能力。課程內容結合當代時事與重要健康議題，涵蓋衛生行政與國際衛生組織、新興傳染病與慢性病的防治策略，並著重心理健康與物質濫用對公共衛生的挑戰。課程也探討人口老化趨勢下的照護需求，包括高齡健康與長期照護議題；同時關注營養與食品安全、職業衛生與環境污染對健康的影響。學生將透過學習《公共衛生學》（第5版），系統掌握公共衛生理論與實務，並了解我國全民健康保險制度的運作與意義。

This course aims to enable students to comprehensively understand the core concepts of public health and the concept of whole-person health, and to cultivate their ability to promote health, prevent diseases and improve social health. The course content combines contemporary current affairs and important health issues, covering health administration and international health organizations, prevention and treatment strategies of emerging infectious diseases and chronic diseases, and focuses on the public health challenges of mental health and substance abuse. The course also explores the care needs of the aging population, including issues of elderly health and long-term care; it also pays attention to the impact of nutrition and food safety, occupational hygiene and environmental pollution on health. By studying "Public Health" (5th Edition), students will systematically master the theory and practice of public health, and understand the operation and significance of my country's national health insurance system.
