教育目標 Course Target

課程目標:本課程旨在協助研究生建立科學研究的基本素養與能力,熟悉高齡健康與運動科學領域常用之研究設計與資料分析方法。課程強調研究倫理、問題意識、假設建構、研究設計、測量工具選擇與資料處理的系統性訓練,培養學生獨立進行量化與質化研究的能力,為撰寫碩士論文及未來從事研究或實務工作奠定紮實基礎。

課程內涵:
研究基本概念與倫理:介紹科學研究的本質、研究流程、學術誠信與倫理原則,提升學生的研究自覺與責任感。
研究問題與假設建構:教導如何從文獻中找出研究問題、界定研究變項,並撰寫具邏輯性與可驗證性的研究假設。
研究設計類型:涵蓋實驗研究、準實驗設計、橫斷式與縱貫式調查、個案研究與行動研究等,針對高齡與運動情境中常見的設計型式進行說明與實例探討。
量化研究方法:講授抽樣技術、問卷設計、信效度檢定、常用統計方法(如T檢定、ANOVA、相關與迴歸分析)與資料處理技巧。
質性研究方法:介紹質性研究的理念與基本取徑(如訪談、觀察、焦點團體等),以及資料分析方式(如主題分析、內容分析)。
文獻回顧與資料蒐集技巧:訓練學生進行系統性文獻搜尋、整理與引用,強化其學術資料分析與整合能力。
研究計畫撰寫實作:安排期中期末作業,引導學生撰寫具體可行之研究計畫書,並進行口頭簡報與同儕回饋,提升其研究設計與表達能力。

Course Objectives: This course aims to help graduate students establish basic literacy and abilities in scientific research and become familiar with research design and data analysis methods commonly used in the fields of aging health and exercise science. The course emphasizes systematic training in research ethics, problem awareness, hypothesis construction, research design, measurement tool selection and data processing, cultivating students' ability to independently conduct quantitative and qualitative research, and laying a solid foundation for writing master's thesis and engaging in future research or practical work.

Course content:
Basic concepts and ethics of research: Introduce the nature of scientific research, research processes, academic integrity and ethical principles, and enhance students' research consciousness and sense of responsibility.
Research questions and hypothesis construction: Teach how to identify research questions from the literature, define research variables, and write logical and testable research hypotheses.
Research design types: Covering experimental research, quasi-experimental design, cross-sectional and longitudinal surveys, case studies and action research, etc., common design types in the elderly and sports situations are explained and discussed with examples.
Quantitative research methods: Teach sampling techniques, questionnaire design, reliability and validity testing, commonly used statistical methods (such as T test, ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis) and data processing skills.
Qualitative research methods: Introduce the concepts and basic approaches of qualitative research (such as interviews, observations, focus groups, etc.), as well as data analysis methods (such as thematic analysis, content analysis).
Literature review and data collection skills: train students to systematically search, organize and cite literature, and strengthen their ability to analyze and integrate academic data.
Research plan writing practice: Arrange mid-term and final assignments to guide students to write a specific and feasible research plan, and conduct oral presentations and peer feedback to improve their research design and expression skills.
