本課程主要課程目標，首先在於使學員熟悉績效管理之理論基礎及基本概念，了解政府績效管理與績效評估之核心意涵，進而瞭解中央機關推行施政績效管理之理念與現行作法，並借鏡世界先進國家公私部門推行績效管理之理念與發展趨勢；此外，期許學員在實務上熟悉策略績效管理與評估之相關技術、工具或方法，並得以內化課程所學、實際應用於公部門實務運作中。

The main objectives of this course are, first of all, to familiarize students with the theoretical basis and basic concepts of performance management, understand the core meaning of government performance management and performance evaluation, and then understand the concepts and current practices of implementation of performance management by central agencies, and learn from the world The concept and development trend of performance management in the public and private sectors of advanced countries in the world; in addition, students are expected to be familiar with the relevant technologies, tools or methods of strategic performance management and evaluation in practice, and to be able to internalize what they have learned in the course and actually apply it to the practical operations of the public sector.

績效管理是使用績效資訊影響計畫、政策或組織行動以追求公共服務最大化利益的過程。本課程介紹政府部門績效管理之理論與實務，包含下列內容：績效管理的意義內涵與理論、世界各國績效管理的作法、我國績效管理的實際運作情形、績效衡量的原則與步驟、績效指標的建構及績效管理的反思與未來展望。

Performance management is the process of using performance information to influence plans, policies or organizational actions in pursuit of maximizing the benefits of public services. This course introduces the theory and practice of performance management in government departments, including the following contents: the meaning, connotation and theory of performance management, the practice of performance management in various countries around the world, the actual operation of performance management in my country, the principles and steps of performance measurement, the construction of performance indicators, and reflection and future prospects of performance management.
