本堂課以社會學理論為基礎，試圖回應各種當代思潮與議題。社會學理論以Norbert Elias、Niklas Luhmann、Michel Serres與Bruno Latour為閱讀重心，他們曾經談及文明、知識、人文主義、生態等議題；當代思潮則以數本中譯版新書為主，包含（但不限於）各種學科領域對於各種議題的思考，如法哲學、政治哲學及倫理學對於性傾向、少數群體、國家、生態的討論。希望透過課程中的深度閱讀，能夠以社會學理論觀察其他學科領域的論述。

This class is based on sociological theory and attempts to respond to various contemporary trends and issues. Sociological theory focuses on reading Norbert Elias, Niklas Luhmann, Michel Serres, and Bruno Latour, who have discussed issues such as civilization, knowledge, humanism, and ecology. Contemporary ideological trends focus on several new Chinese-translated books, including (but not limited to) reflections on various issues in various subject areas, such as legal philosophy, political philosophy, and ethics on sexual orientation, minority groups, countries, and ecology. I hope that through the in-depth reading in the course, I can use sociological theory to observe discussions in other subject areas.
