認識哲學的方式之一是了解哲學家關心的問題以及他們為這些問題提供的答案。為了讓大家對當代哲學有初步的認識，這門課選讀數十篇論文或專書的節錄，含蓋倫理學、知識論、和形上學三個領域，主題包括價值是主觀的嗎？為什麼我們應該是道德的？道德運氣、自由與憎恨、殺人與任其死亡、人生的意義、機器可以思考嗎？人格同一、記憶與遺忘等。

One way to know philosophy is to understand the questions that philosophers care about and the answers they provide for these questions. In order to give everyone a preliminary understanding of contemporary philosophy, this course selects the records of ten essays or specialties, including three fields: ethics, intellectual theory, and metaphysics. Is the topic, including value, the subject matter? Why should we be moral? Moral aura, freedom and hatred, killing people and letting them die, the meaning of life, can machines think about it? Personality, memory and forgetfulness, etc.
