唐君毅的中國哲學原論之導論篇，其中暢談了中國形上學的思惟，如理氣論，太極，無極，太一，道，理，天等等,其中以概念之發展為主,如原理,有理之六義,包括空理性理,玄理等等。又有原心,乃視心義在先秦各家的發展,原太極,原命,原格物致知等等。本課程主要是中國哲學之基礎,以唐君毅的中國哲學原論之導論篇為主,導論篇中,對荀子莊子孟子等人的闡發,及各家的合會。另外亦可參考其中對宋明理學的理解,包括對朱子大學的改本,還有王學末流之思惟,至於王學的殿軍,劉蕺山,牟先生視其為理氣吸緊的講,且視五峰蕺山學為一系,乃主客觀飽滿之說,而唐先生認為是重氣之學,其中的氣要高看,重意情氣的說法,故唐牟對陽明後學的詮釋亦有不同。
