「文化」是孕育一個民族、社會的根基及生命力，在歷史潮流演變下，深深根植於華人生活與思想中。本課程主要在於介紹中華傳統文化，討論其起源、影響，用更為寬廣的角度檢視中華文化，並思考如何將其教授給外籍學生，以幫助並吸引外籍學生認識、欣賞、理解華人社會及文化之內涵。
本課程目標在於了解華人文化，並養成思考生活中所出現的「文化足跡」，除更深入了解自身文化外，亦能應用於教學上。課程主題涵蓋：
（一）華人歷史、地理與文化
（二）華人思想體系及教育制度
（三）中華文化與藝術
（四）中華節慶及習俗
（五）由華語教學探討華人社會與文化

"Culture" is the foundation and vitality that nurtures a nation and society. It is deeply rooted in the lives and thoughts of the Chinese people under the evolution of historical trends. This course mainly aims to introduce traditional Chinese culture, discuss its origin and influence, examine Chinese culture from a broader perspective, and think about how to teach it to foreign students, so as to help and attract foreign students to know, appreciate, and understand the connotation of Chinese society and culture.
The goal of this course is to understand Chinese culture and develop the ability to think about the "cultural footprints" that appear in life. In addition to gaining a deeper understanding of one's own culture, it can also be applied to teaching. Course topics cover:
(1) Chinese history, geography and culture
(2) Chinese ideological system and education system
(3) Chinese culture and art
(4) Chinese festivals and customs
(5) Exploring Chinese society and culture through Chinese language teaching
