(1) Course objectives:
1. Use the social field as a path to guide students to "create peace for all generations", understand the significance of the world capitalist economy, related theories and development timetable, become familiar with the important concepts of the globalization phenomenon, and analyze the impact of globalization based on this on the world economy, culture, politics and society.
2. Train students to have the basic ability and imagination to analyze the world economic situation, and understand the opportunities and challenges they will face in the workplace in the future to enhance their competitiveness.
3. Respect differences, recognize different qualities, affirm yourself and appreciate others. Avoid understanding the world economy and capitalism from a single value, and reflect on the pros and cons of economic globalization with multiple values and a critical spirit.
4. Through discussion and sharing of actual cases of world economic development in daily life, students can feel the impact of capitalist globalization on themselves.
5. Be able to identify phenomena that are significant to capitalist economic globalization, and understand the logic behind support for and anti-globalization.
(2) Course content:
People often say that we now live together in a global village. From the perspective of world issues, the changes in Taiwan consciousness in the world, the world's political economy, and the natural environment mean that in contemporary society, from small individuals to large countries, we cannot exist independently from the world. This means that Taiwan will be increasingly affected by the world's economic situation and development over time. From the perspective of capitalist economic globalization, this will affect or even change the political, economic, cultural, social and daily appearance of the original regions in the past. Therefore, this course first introduces the relevant theoretical definitions and development time of capitalism, and then discusses and reflects on the effects and consequences of the world economic development process on the economy, culture, politics and society. Finally, by analyzing the effects and possible risks of capitalist economic globalization, we reflect on the ongoing global capitalist economy and its various pros and cons with a multi-value and critical attitude, so that students can rethink the opportunities and challenges they face after graduation under the impact of the wave of capitalist economic globalization, so as to enhance their competitiveness in modern society.
