Sustainable Issues in Humanities
教育目標 Course Target
現代城市的發展離不開產業,但是當我們重視城市的人文精神時,卻不知不覺輕視了產業。很弔詭地,產業卻又頻頻地想要靠近人文,有時卻顯得東施效顰。人文精神常常覺得產業很市儈,但是沒有產業,城市的人文卻是空有理想而已,僅是空中樓閣。城市是人造的,唯有人文精神的注入,才能展現城市的溫度,而顯得「自然」。如果台中可以作為場域,而成為可以學習的對象,產業與人文的對話絕對不可少。本課程希望以台中做為學習對象,進行產業與人文的對話,讓學生看見台中的建構過程,以及作為知識學習對象的可能性。更是期待學生可以從中看到產業與人文的衝突、對話與合作,逐漸相信城市是可以朝向共善發展,這也正是生活在城市裡的人,所必須學習的知識。一味產業,或是一味人文都不是城市發展的動力所在,產業與人文的衝突、對話與平衡的過程,或許才是城市的生命所在。進行相關景觀美學實踐的案例研究並藉由討論和分享具體明白美學實踐的可能性。透過地方創生案例實踐的過程分享,學習建立地方自明性格和地方價值建立的手法,做為日後生活中、工作上,群體與職場倫理正確態度與觀念。
The development of modern cities is inseparable from industry, but when we value the humanistic spirit of cities, we unknowingly underestimate industry. Paradoxically, industries frequently try to get closer to humanities, but sometimes they seem to be imitating others. The humanistic spirit often thinks that industry is very philistine, but without industry, urban humanities are just empty ideals, just castles in the air. Cities are man-made. Only the infusion of humanistic spirit can show the warmth of the city and make it appear "natural". If Taichung can be used as a field and an object of learning, dialogue between industry and humanities is absolutely indispensable. This course hopes to use Taichung as a learning object to conduct a dialogue between industry and humanities, allowing students to see the construction process of Taichung and the possibilities of it as a knowledge learning object. It is also hoped that students can see the conflict, dialogue and cooperation between industry and humanities, and gradually believe that cities can develop towards common good. This is exactly the knowledge that people living in cities must learn. Neither industry alone nor humanities alone are the driving force for urban development. The conflict, dialogue, and balance between industry and humanities may be the life of a city. Conduct case studies on relevant landscape aesthetic practices and gain a concrete understanding of the possibilities of aesthetic practices through discussion and sharing. Through the sharing of the process of place creation case practice, we can learn how to establish local self-evident character and local value, which can be used as correct attitudes and concepts in future life, work, group and workplace ethics.
