教育目標 Course Target

地理資訊系統(GIS, Geographic Information Systems)是一套結合資訊科學、空間分析與地圖學的數位技術,廣泛應用於地理環境的觀察、管理與決策。從古至今,地圖作為人類認識與記錄空間的媒介,一直是環境規劃與發展運用的重要工具。隨著電腦與數位科技的演進,GIS技術不僅能快速製圖,更能協助分析地表環境、管理資源,並支援空間規劃與管理的永續使用。

本課程為GIS的入門課程,特別設計給無基礎或初學者。課程將從基本概念出發,循序漸進地介紹GIS操作方法與實務應用,並以景觀規劃與設計為應用場景,幫助學生理解GIS如何介入當代社會的空間分析與規劃工作。

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a set of digital technologies that combine information science, spatial analysis and cartography and are widely used in the observation, management and decision-making of the geographical environment. From ancient times to the present, maps, as a medium for humans to understand and record space, have always been an important tool for environmental planning and development. With the evolution of computers and digital technology, GIS technology can not only quickly draw maps, but also assist in analyzing the surface environment, managing resources, and supporting the sustainable use of spatial planning and management.

This course is an introductory course in GIS, specially designed for beginners with no basic knowledge. Starting from basic concepts, the course will gradually introduce GIS operation methods and practical applications, and use landscape planning and design as application scenarios to help students understand how GIS can intervene in spatial analysis and planning work in contemporary society.

課程概述 Course Description

自遠古時代起,地圖忠實著記載地表資訊,讓人們瞭解到地表的環境與資源,對於人類文明的發展扮演著重要的角色;時至今日,科技的發展與資訊的傳播,使地圖的需求及應用更趨多元。應用電腦科技製圖,已經成為環境資源調查分析的一大重點。

而數位地圖的技術,結合各個專業領域及資訊科學,發展成地理資訊系統(GIS);除了能快速製作地圖之外,可運用電腦科技將地表環境資源加以整合、分析,並提出人們對於地表資源經營管理及空間決策之機制,達成永續發展的目標。

近年來,地理資訊的發展更趨多元化,從地理學、景觀、水土保持、都計、資訊科學、環境資源、交通等領域均有許多地理資訊的應用方向;而最新的發展方向,則是強調各種現象之空間性,透過空間概念將實質現象加以轉化、分析,並加以整合運用。

對於地表景觀之應用,也是一項重要的課題;景觀領域之議題包羅萬象,均與空間現象有關;因此本課程將透過地理資訊之基礎理論概念、功能及應用實例之解說,配合網路GIS資源介紹,使學生瞭解GIS的概念及應用方向,並從實作中學習操作分析的技術;同時能應用網路上的GIS資源輔助GIS之實務應用;使同學能熟悉GIS之觀念與技術,以期理論與實務能充分配合。

Since ancient times, maps have faithfully recorded surface information, allowing people to understand the surface environment and resources, playing an important role in the development of human civilization. Today, the development of science and technology and the dissemination of information have made the needs and applications of maps more diverse. The application of computer technology in mapping has become a major focus of environmental resource investigation and analysis.

Digital map technology, combined with various professional fields and information science, has developed into a geographical information system (GIS). In addition to quickly producing maps, computer technology can be used to integrate and analyze surface environmental resources, and propose mechanisms for people to manage surface resources and make spatial decisions to achieve the goal of sustainable development.

In recent years, the development of geographical information has become more diversified. There are many application directions of geographical information in the fields of geography, landscape, soil and water conservation, urban planning, information science, environmental resources, transportation and other fields. The latest development direction emphasizes the spatiality of various phenomena, transforming, analyzing and integrating substantive phenomena through spatial concepts.

The application of surface landscape is also an important topic; issues in the landscape field are all-encompassing and are all related to spatial phenomena; therefore, this course will explain the basic theoretical concepts, functions and application examples of geographical information, coupled with the introduction of online GIS resources. Students understand the concepts and application directions of GIS, and learn operational analysis techniques from practice; at the same time, they can use GIS resources on the Internet to assist the practical application of GIS; so that students can become familiar with the concepts and technologies of GIS, so that theory and practice can be fully coordinated.
