為引領景觀系學生進入景觀專業領域的入門課程，目的在藉由對景觀專業的系統性介紹，使學生對未來四年的景觀教育，乃至景觀專業的生涯有一明晰的架構。並依據景觀系課程學習地圖，針對未來四年的專業課程架構與課程關連性進行說明。期能使同學依據課程脈絡與個人專業興趣熱情，按部就班學習，逐步累積專業知能。
本課程旨在透過精選的地球之旅景觀案例，歸納景觀專業中最重要的入門詞彙，引導學生理解景觀專業的演變歷程，並闡述其整合性、價值性與特殊性，從而在不同空間尺度中，理解從微觀的環境設計、城市空間規劃，到宏觀的永續生態系統，認識景觀專業如何介入並塑造人與環境的關係。

然而也透過課程帶出職涯徑路的樣態與特性，幫助同學一方面探索個人專業興趣，二方面也了解如何透過景觀系的課程為主軸，並善用東海大學豐富多元的輔系、微學程與/或雙碩士跨域修課的規劃，讓自己成為兼具景觀專業基礎職能與獨特跨領域獨特長才的優秀人才。

This is an introductory course designed to lead students from the Department of Landscape into the professional field of landscape. The purpose is to provide students with a clear structure for their landscape education in the next four years and even their career in the landscape profession through a systematic introduction to the landscape profession. Based on the curriculum learning map of the Department of Landscape, the professional course structure and course correlations in the next four years are explained. This period enables students to study step by step according to the course context and personal professional interests and passions, and gradually accumulate professional knowledge.
This course aims to summarize the most important introductory vocabulary in the landscape major through selected Earth Journey landscape cases, guide students to understand the evolution of the landscape major, and elaborate on its integration, value and particularity, so as to understand how the landscape major intervenes in and shapes the relationship between humans and the environment at different spatial scales, from microscopic environmental design and urban space planning to macroscopic sustainable ecosystems.

However, the course also brings out the shape and characteristics of career paths, helping students to explore their personal professional interests on the one hand, and to understand how to use the courses of the Landscape Department as the main axis, and make good use of Tunghai University's rich and diverse supplementary departments, micro-courses and/or dual master's cross-disciplinary course planning, so that they can become outstanding talents with both basic functions of the landscape major and unique cross-field talents.

本課程乃大一新生第一學期必修之課，屬於景觀專業學習之入門介紹。全課程分為四階段如下：

〈一〉景觀定義與景觀元素解讀。
〈二〉景觀專業介紹。
〈三〉國內外景觀教育。
〈四〉景觀設計與景觀規劃。

This course is a required course for freshmen in the first semester and is an introductory introduction to landscape majors. The whole course is divided into four stages as follows:

<1> Landscape definition and interpretation of landscape elements.
<2> Introduction to landscape profession.
<3> Landscape education at home and abroad.
<4> Landscape design and landscape planning.
