本課程旨在學習基礎的攝影知識與技巧應用，學習如何使用相機與攝影棚拍攝，養成攝影的觀察力與視覺美感，並培養情感觀察與氛圍塑造的能力，練習各種方式的攝影主題，讓學生都能拍出具有良好創意的攝影作品。

因應數位化時代人手一支手機，即擁有一台即時相機，讓影像創作更加簡單快速便利，所見即所得的影像創作方式降低了藝術的門檻，讓攝影幾乎已變成了現代人們的日常生活，因此本課程中的影像創作以手機攝影為主，但仍先教授基本的攝影原理與概念如：光圈、快門、ISO值，進而進入手機相機可應用的色溫、光線的觀察、構圖、拍攝主體、主題攝影等應用內容，並適時地搭配課堂作品實例講解、專業攝影師講座、實際外拍課程練習，多元地面向來認識並學習攝影。課程的後段規劃會進入到較為專門的商業攝影，教授如何架設棚燈，打光的技巧與實際的實拍練習，讓同學入門基礎的商業攝影。

This course aims to learn basic photography knowledge and application skills, learn how to use cameras and studio photography, develop photography observation and visual beauty, and cultivate the ability of emotional observation and atmosphere shaping. It will also practice various photography themes, so that students can take good and creative photography works.

In the digital age, everyone has a mobile phone, which means they have an instant camera, making image creation simpler, faster and more convenient. The WYSIWYG image creation method has lowered the threshold of art and made photography almost a daily life of modern people. Therefore, the image creation in this course is mainly based on mobile phone photography, but the basics are still taught first. Photography principles and concepts such as: aperture, shutter, ISO value, and then enter the application contents such as color temperature, light observation, composition, shooting subject, theme photography that can be applied by mobile phone cameras, and timely explanations of classroom work examples, lectures by professional photographers, and practical outdoor shooting course exercises, to understand and learn photography in a diverse way. The later part of the course is planned to move into more specialized commercial photography, teaching how to set up studio lights, lighting techniques and practical shooting exercises, allowing students to get started with basic commercial photography.

攝影是一門生活藝術的展現，攝影是工藝，也是藝術。工藝是訓練學生能運用各種照相器材和設備，配合適當的光影控制，取得最佳的影像。藝術則是培養『看』的能力，如何看東西，如何觀察事物，如何把看到的東西，化為最佳的影像呈現，同時也能把看到的美好影像，作為自己欣賞與心靈的共鳴，這是一個設計師應有的素養之一。
現今的科技進步，攝影已經不再只是專業人士使用專業器材才能完成的技術，社會已是人手一台照相型手機，不管你是否學過攝影，只要按下快門，就能照出一張清楚且曝光良好的照片，但是照像，要了解是人在照相，而不是照相機在照相，本課程教授學生，了解光圈控制的意涵，快門運用的時機，配合鏡頭長短的選擇，以決定如何依照自己的判斷思考，攝取影像，而不是一昧的依照相機的設計，拍出照片。
有別於傳統的底片攝影，需要學習底片的沖洗與放相的技巧（顯影底片，沖放相片），而本課程採用數位攝影方式為主，數位以電腦影像處理設計與輸出為主，但不管數位或傳統式的攝影，影像攝取原理是一樣的，不同的是在其紀錄方式，與後製呈現表達的方法，本課程內容除講授方式，學習相機的認識與應用（如何照好照片），採光技巧（現場光、攝影棚燈光）之外，另配合攝影棚攝影實習。
本課程沒有筆試考試，課堂作業是以自己拍攝，自己輸出的照片做為評分依據，包括教師評分與學生互評，期末作業目標是完成一本自己的攝影作品集一份。
本課程的教學目標，定位在基礎攝影，著重於相機的熟練操作與應用，了解光圈、景深的關係，快門、曝光的控制，產品攝影的技巧與打光方法、以及攝影構圖設計等。

Regardless of whether you have learned photography or not, you can take a clear and well-exposed photo by pressing the shutter button. But when taking a photo, you need to understand It is the person who takes the picture, not the camera. This course teaches students to understand the meaning of aperture control, the timing of shutter use, and the choice of lens length, so as to decide how to think and capture images based on their own judgment, rather than just taking photos based on the design of the camera.
Different from traditional film photography, you need to learn the techniques of film development and exposure (developing films, developing photos), and this course mainly uses digital photography. Digital is mainly based on computer image processing design and output, but regardless of digital or traditional photography, image capture The principle is the same, but the difference is in the recording method and the post-production expression method. In addition to teaching methods, learning the understanding and application of the camera (how to take good photos), lighting techniques (scene light, studio lighting), this course also includes studio photography practice.
There is no written examination in this course. Class assignments are based on the photos taken and output by yourself, including teacher scoring and student peer evaluation. The goal of the final assignment is to complete a photography portfolio of your own.
The teaching goal of this course is positioned at basic photography, focusing on the proficient operation and application of the camera, understanding the relationship between aperture and depth of field, shutter and exposure control, product photography skills and lighting methods, and photography composition design, etc.
