本課程是「社區組織與社區發展」之進階課程，旨在培養學生進入社區實作的專業能力。
（一）課程目標
1.以實地進入社區，進行參與觀察、體驗學習及發現需求之教學方式，使學生瞭解社區工作的理論與概念之場域實踐，並充分地認識、體會社區工作實踐之過程。
2.以「社區為本」與「社區居民為主體」之理念，透過「大學生參與社區」的社會實踐方式，在瞭解社區需求之後，設計簡易的方案，協助提升在社區生活的品質。
（二）課程內涵
具體包括社區工作的基本概念、社區工作的程序、社區工作者的角色與知識基礎、社區工作的模式與技術及專業社區工作的未來發展。This course is an advanced course of "Community Organization and Community Development" and aims to cultivate students' professional ability to enter community work.

本課程教學的重點在於社區工作之應用與實踐，特別是將運用青年學子參與社區行動的策略，以實地參與的方式，讓學生充分體會與暸解社區實踐的過程，並期望以參與行動創造出社區改變的力量，營造社區的新風貌，以體驗、參與、學習三位一體的教學方式，期使社區工作的理論與實踐，能讓學生有充分的了解與深刻的體驗。
