在晚近國際政治的場域中,多元性別與酷兒家庭的議題已然成為眾所關注的焦點。比如,美國總統川普甫上任,便下令性別僅能是二元的、梵蒂岡新任教宗當選後,西方媒體即熱烈討論他對於同性婚姻的立場;再比如,奧運期間以及之後對於跨性別運動員的爭議。在同志運動邁入三十五年的今天,男跨女跨性別者的權益、以及同志可否使用代孕等人工生殖技術,也引發女性主義團體內部的論述衝突。
何謂多元性別?酷兒家庭的樣貌為何?「LGBTQ+」的身分認同和認同政治是如何發展出來的?認同、身體展演、情感、與情慾之間具有什麼樣的關係?在不同的政經脈絡中,多元性別的社會運動如何進行、各自的阻礙與突破的可能會是什麼?我們將藉由十一個主題,從歷史和社會的脈絡,以回應上述問題。本課的閱讀文本和參考文獻皆可見教學平台,每週課後,我們也會上傳教師(與講者)講授的PPT。
In the recent international politics, the issue of diversity and cool families has become the focus of attention. For example, when US President Trump took office, he ordered that gender could only be binary. After the new Vatican pope was elected, Western media enthusiastically discussed his position on same-sex marriage; for example, the dispute over transgender athletes during and after the Olympics. Today, when gay sports have entered 35 years, the rights of male and female transgender people and whether gays can use surrogacy and other artificial reproductive technologies have also triggered a conflict of arguments within the female-themed group.
What is diversity? What is the appearance of the cool family? How did the identity and recognition politics of "LGBTQ+" develop? What is the relationship between identity, body performance, emotion, and emotionality? In different political circles, how do diverse social movements be carried out, their respective obstacles and the possibility of breakthroughs? We will respond to the above questions through eleven topics, from the historical and social links. The reading text and reference texts of this class are available on the teaching platform. After week, we will also upload the PPT taught by teachers (and speakers).
