民法是規範人民權利義務、且具生活化特質的基礎法律。鑑於法律在生活中日漸重要，認識民法有助於修課同學日後生活中之應用，並對於社會生活有所助益。另外，由於民法為私法領域的基礎法，民法總則乃所有民事法規的基本原則，因此，本課程之目的，在使修課同學掌握民法體系及民法總則編之規定，作為日後學習其他民事法律規定之基礎。課程安排與進度上，亦會盡可能涵蓋民法其他各編與其他民事法之重要概念，以利修課同學對民事法有完整掌握。Civil law is a basic law that regulates people's rights and interests and has a life-oriented nature. As the law becomes more important in life, understanding civil law will help students to apply it in their future life and will be helpful to social life. In addition, since civil law is the basic law in the private law field, the general civil law is the basic principle of all civil laws. Therefore, the purpose of this course is to enable students to master the civil law system and the general regulations of the general law to be used as the basis for learning other civil law regulations in the future. In terms of course arrangement and progress, it will also cover the important concepts of other civil law and other civil law, so as to facilitate students to have a complete understanding of civil law in their studies.
