每一位修課同學需要獨立產出一份研究論文，該論文必須根據政治現象提出重要的、經驗性的研究問題與研究假設，對此提出一個或數個可能的解釋因素，透過文獻討論與經驗性資料的收集來佐證其研究假設，無論是使用質性研究方法或是量化研究方法，其結論需具備政策意涵(policy implications)並對現實政治社會有所反省。
本課程訓練學生基礎撰寫報告的能力、搜集與處理資料的能力、製作簡報的能力、上台做專業簡報的能力。期待學生透過本課程的訓練，來達到發現問題的能力以及提出解決問題方案的能力，在畢業之後也能夠與職場上直接做銜接，或者可以為就讀研究所的論文寫作能力做準備。
本課程為人工加選並有修課人數上限，授課老師會在第一週對課程做完整的介紹，讓學生依照興趣選擇。想要修本課程的學生必須在第一週上課結束後(9/16)向授課老師登記加選，最晚的登記時間不超過9/16下午兩點。
Each student in the course needs to independently produce a research paper. The paper must propose important and empirical research questions and research hypotheses based on political phenomena, propose one or several possible explanations, and confirm its research hypotheses through the collection of literary discussions and empirical data. Whether using quality research methods or quantitative research methods, the conclusions must be prepared with policy implications and reflect on real politics and society.
This course trains students in basic reporting ability, collecting and processing data, producing brief reports, and making professional briefs on the stage. We hope that students can achieve the ability to find problems and propose solutions through the training of this course, and can also directly connect with their jobs after graduation, or prepare for the writing skills of the reading institute.
This course is manual selection and has a maximum number of students. The course teachers will give a complete introduction to the course in the first week so that students can choose according to their interests. Students who want to take this course must register with the course teacher after the first week of the course (9/16). The latest registration time shall not exceed two pm on September 16.
