本課程的目標是希望透過本課程的學習、小組討論、資料實證分析以及研究報告產出，讓同學具備對於實際資料的分析能力，資料分析內容主要以經濟相關議題為主，現今資訊的特性是大量且傳遞迅速，而在大數據分析技術的迅速發展下，現在已有能力處理大量結構與非結構化的資料，因此，面對大數據資料，是否可以從異質性資料獲取出有益決策的資訊為本課程最主要的目標。

The goal of this course is to equip students with the ability to analyze actual data through the study, group discussions, empirical data analysis and research report output of this course. The data analysis content mainly focuses on economic-related issues. The characteristics of today's information are large and It is transmitted quickly, and with the rapid development of big data analysis technology, it is now capable of processing a large amount of structured and unstructured data. Therefore, in the face of big data data, whether information useful for decision-making can be obtained from heterogeneous data is the main goal of this course.

本課程之研究主題主要是以經濟學相關議題為主。本課程的進行方式由學生自行分組並選擇有興趣之研究主題，透過與專題指導老師討論研究方向與內容後，再由同學分組進行研究資料之蒐集、整理與分析，定期與指導老師進行研究專題之討論，另需於學期末完成專題研究之書面報告與口頭報告。

The research topics of this course are mainly economics-related issues. The way this course is conducted is that students are divided into groups and choose a research topic of interest. After discussing the research direction and content with the topic instructor, students are then divided into groups to collect, organize and analyze research data. They regularly discuss the research topic with the instructor. In addition, they are required to complete a written report and an oral report on the topic research at the end of the semester.
