了解魚類的基本分類及生理結構，進而學習魚類與同類及其他生物和環境之間的交互作用．最後探討魚類在人類社會及保育學上的角色及重要性．魚類是水生生物裡面重要的脊椎生物．其廣泛地分佈不同地區及環境，這使得不管是淡水，半淡鹹水和海洋環境都有魚類的蹤跡．魚類高度的適應性和長久的演化也使得魚類俱有多樣的生態行為和棲息地．此外，魚類也是人類重要的蛋白質來源之一．近年來，由於人類對於環境過度的開發及人類數量和活動的增加，魚類的族群也受到嚴重地干擾．本課程最後會討論魚類目前在各個生態系統受到的影響和可能的保護措施．本課程除了基本的講授外，也會經由實作來了解魚類分類，生理和生態等相關研究的進行方式．

Understand the basic classification and physiological structure of fish, and then learn about the interactions between fish, other organisms and the environment. Finally, the role and importance of fish in human society and conservation are discussed. Fish are important vertebrate organisms among aquatic organisms. It is widely distributed in different regions and environments, making it possible for fish to be found in freshwater, brackish water and marine environments. The high adaptability and long-term evolution of fish also enable fish to have diverse ecological behaviors and habitats. In addition, fish is also one of the important sources of protein for humans. In recent years, due to excessive human exploitation of the environment and the increase in human numbers and activities, fish populations have also been seriously disturbed. This course will conclude with a discussion of the current impacts on fish in various ecosystems and possible conservation measures. In addition to basic lectures, this course will also provide hands-on experience in understanding how fish classification, physiology, ecology and other related research are conducted.
