本課程將以哲學重要三個子領域作為主軸，分別介紹佛教形上學、佛教知識論、佛教倫理學三個部分。課程將介紹佛教重要教義，例如、五蘊、無我、緣起、涅槃、因明等，輔以重要的哲學議題，例如，自我（意識統一性問題）、外在世界（實在論與反實在論）、倫理（效益論或義務論）、邏輯（辯論方法）等作為討論核心。課程將以 Mark Siderits 所著《Buddhism as Philosophy: An Introduction》作為教科書。課程兼及漢傳佛教中的主體性哲學；此外哲學中實踐與知識密不可分，課程中亦會介紹佛教禪修哲學並安排相關的專家學者來系演講。

This course will take three important sub-fields of philosophy as its main axis, introducing Buddhist metaphysics, Buddhist epistemology, and Buddhist ethics respectively. The course will introduce important Buddhist teachings, such as the Five Aggregates, Selflessness, Dependent Origination, Nirvana, Causation, etc., supplemented by important philosophical issues, such as the self (the issue of the unity of consciousness), the external world (realism and anti-realism), ethics (utilitarianism or deontology), logic (debating methods), etc. as the core of the discussion. The course will use "Buddhism as Philosophy: An Introduction" by Mark Siderits as the textbook. The course also covers the philosophy of subjectivity in Chinese Buddhism; in addition, practice and knowledge in philosophy are inseparable. The course will also introduce Buddhist meditation philosophy and arrange for relevant experts and scholars to give lectures.
