近幾年來,科學、技術與社會((Science, Technology and Society,簡稱STS)研究與科技與醫療(STM)在歐洲與美國已經成為相當重要的學門。科技與社會的領域出現,受到知識社會學、科學史、科學學、醫療社會學與女性主義理論、後結構主義、後現代主義的影響,具有跨學科研究的性質。STS的科技與社會研究,強調分析科學技術與社會文化的交錯共構關係,以及並探討科技如何與社會生活相互影響。
本課程主要將焦點關注於STS領域中的重要主題---醫療與性別。從性別的角度切入STS 中許多與女性身體與心靈相關的議題,這些議題從醫療社會學、性別研究等針對議題進行跨領域整合,且在社會學界已有豐富討論。議題包括生殖科技、婦產科與助產士、疫苗、更年期問題、荷爾蒙、愛滋病運動、女性健康運動、環境污染與公共衛生等等。STM (科學、技術與醫療)作為主要理論會著重於討論以下概念:(生物)醫療化((bio)medicalization的影響、科技的社會建構論、性別與科技爭議等。本課程結合醫療領域中的性別議題,以醫療中的女性工作者、愛滋運動、科技的性別研究為主要議題,近一步了解STS觀點如何運用在具體的社會案例上。
In recent years, science, technology and society (Science, Technology and Society, referred to as STS, Research and Technology and Medicine (STM) has become a very important school in Europe and the United States. The field of technology and society has emerged and is known as intellectual society, scientific history, science, medical society and female leaders. The influence of theory, post-construction, post-modernism has the nature of interdisciplinary research. STS's science and social research emphasizes the analysis of the interchange and common structure between scientific technology and social culture, and explores how technology affects social life. .
This course will focus mainly on important topics in the STS field - medicine and gender. From the perspective of gender, many issues related to female body and mind in STS are integrated across the domain from medical sociology, gender research and other discussions, and have been discussed in the social community. Questions include reproductive technology, medical and nursing students, vaccines, menopause problems, hormones, AIDS sports, women's health sports, environmental pollution and public health, etc. STM (science, technology and medicine) as the main theory focuses on discussing the following concepts: (bio)medicalization, social structure of science and technology, gender and science and technology disputes, etc. This course combines the medical field Gender discussion topics are mainly based on gender research on female workers in medicine, sex sports, and technology.
