Language and Semiotic Analysis

教育目標 Course Target

這是一門基礎理論課，也是一門基礎研究方法課。包括語言在內的象徵符號是建構個人主體性、社會性、以及人與非人溝通的關鍵媒介；而社會科學的研究方法，也莫不仰賴語言、文字和其他象徵符號。我們將藉由「基本概念」、「象徵符號與主體的形成」、「語言和象徵符號的物質性」這三個主題，介紹相關理論和重要研究。


This is a basic theories course and a basic research method course. Symbols, including language, are key media that construct personal subjectivity, sociality, and human-inhuman communication; and social science research methods all rely on language, text and other symbols. We will introduce relevant theoretical discussions and important research through the three topics of "basic concept", "the formation of symbols and subjects", and "the materiality of language and symbols".
