基本上，企業成長的方向不外乎是本業成長、垂直整合，或多角化成長。而成長的手段，主要是自行成長或購併。本課程以西方正統的企業組織及策略理論為核心，融以東方經典《易經》的哲學思維與文化，兩者互取其精髓，傳授企業成長決策的布局心法，並落實於實際工作應用上。
《易經》已被融入於無數商業策略之中，並為許多商學院納入課程內。五千多年來，人們一直運用《易經》來制定決策及預測未來。春秋戰國時代各國諸多軍國大事的卜筮與決斷依據，透過解卦而形成決策，其過程與現代企業經營的策略規劃、經營分析有許多類似的過程。
本課程可以培養學生《易經》解卦而形成決策與思維的能力，當面對不同企業生命週期、變革管理、危機管理、企業擴張與多角化、及誠信與創新問題時，除了以西方正統的企業組織及策略理論為基礎，還可以借鑒《易經》中的卦象，協助思考及形成決策。
本課程與對應CEO組模組”企業成長與策略”。 企業成長策略可分外部成長及內部成長，外部成長主要是採用購併策略，內部成長則以延伸企業核心能耐做為成長主軸，可採內部創業、合資聯盟、創新產品及企業內設立創投公司做為成長的手段。雖然這些成長策略有許多優點，但有時缺乏嫻熟經驗，因此失敗率也高。本課程可以培養學生《易經》解卦而形成決策的能力，當面對企業成長與策略問題時，可以借鑒《易經》中的卦象，協助策略思考與制定決策。
