This course is the introduction to bioinformatics algorithms. I will teach some foundational concepts of computational thinking and algorithm techniques that have been applied in the molecular biology fields, particularly in the era of next-generation sequencing. Students will engage in practical exercises to apply these techniques in real-world scenarios, gaining skills critical for advancing research in bioinformatics. This course aims to equip students with basic knowledge and tools needed to solve complex biological problems through computational approaches, preparing them for further study or careers in this dynamic field.

This course is an entry into biological information algorithms. It hopes to teach students basic algorithms and some molecular biology concepts to learn how to convert molecular biology problems into calculation algorithm problems, and then use biological information programs to process the ever-changing gene sequencing data.
