本課程的目標在引導修課同學詮釋與理解當代新儒家的政治正當性課題，而這項目標是在下述背景中進行，即，當今世界的政治思想是以西方的自由、民主、法治與人權等概念為主流。我們必須要透過與西方政治思想之對話來理解當代新儒家的政治正當性課題。基於上述的目標，本課程以先秦中國政治思想研究為討論的開端，閱讀與討論先秦儒家思想，具體而言是孔子的德治思想與孟子的王道思想。之後再進入當代的政治思想議題討論，主要的議題如下：政治儒學、亞洲價值與人權、儒家思想與人權的相容性問題、儒家致善主義、當代新儒家開出民主說。課程將針對上述問題進行文本探討與討論，希望經過本課程的閱讀與討論，同學們可以掌握當代中國政治思想的重要議題，並明確自己的立場。總而言之，本課程目標有三：1.老師引導同學分析與理解當代新儒家的政治正當性課題的相關概念；2.掌握相關的各種立場；3.學會應用批判式閱讀理解、重述論證，並且為自己的立場辯護。
The purpose of this course is to guide the lectures of students and understand the political justice topics of contemporary Neo-Confucianism. This project is carried out in the following context, that is, the political thoughts of the present world are based on Western freedom, democracy, rule of law and human rights. Concepts such as the mainstream. We must understand the political justice subject of contemporary neo-Confucianism through dialogue with Western political thought. Based on the above goals, this course takes the study of political thought in pre-Qin China as the beginning of the discussion, reading and discussing pre-Qin Confucian thought, which is specifically Confucius' thought of moral governance and Mencius's thought of kingly way. Then we will discuss the political and ideological issues in contemporary times. The main issues are as follows: political Confucianism, Asian value and human rights, the compatibility of Confucianism and human rights, Confucianism's doctrine of goodness, and contemporary new Confucianism has developed democratic statements. The course will conduct text discussions and discussions on the above issues. I hope that through reading and discussions in this course, students can master the important issues of contemporary Chinese political thought and clearly determine their position. In summary, there are three goals of this course: 1. The teacher guides students to analyze and understand the relevant concepts of the political justice topics of contemporary Neo-Confucianism; 2. Master various related positions; 3. Learn to use critical reading, understanding, restate the arguments, and Your own position to protect.
