修士論文執筆のために必要な量的研究の基本概念を学ぶ。様々な研究分野において、質的研究方法と量的研究方法は相対立する概念として認識されることが多い。しかし、本講義では、両研究方法間の関係は相反するものではなく、共存するものとして位置づけている。本講義では、研究方法に関する文献を輪読することで量的研究方法のアプローチの動向を理解する。また、量的研究を理解するために、論文を読むために必要な統計知識、調査をするための必要なスキル・基礎知識、調査後の分析について実習を通して学び、量的研究の流れについて理解を深める。
