藉由中國古典及現代文學作品之介紹與賞析，加強人文關懷、審美體驗，指引學生建立正確的人生觀，並提供寫作指導與語文能力的訓練。
一、培養對文學作品的賞析能力，由此來觀察人生、理解世界。
二、訓練獨立的思考理解能力，形成自己的人生觀及價值觀。
三、訓練對語言文字的駕馭能力，能將自己的觀念思想表達書寫成文章。提高學生的文學欣賞興趣與能力。授課內容進度採「主題」方式選擇文學作品，將同類型之作品集中，以便同學比較、鑑賞其中異同，進而增加研讀趣味。
Through the introduction and analysis of Chinese classical and modern literary works, we strengthen humanistic concerns and aesthetic experience, guide students to establish correct life views, and provide training in writing guidance and language skills.
