In the early days, the Dadu Mountain Platform in Taichung City, the folk art technology used local native plants (betel, big millet, etc.) to make swamp brooms. Nowadays, people generally rely on the convenience of plastic products, and gradually no longer make brooms of natural materials. However, under the goal of permanent society, it is necessary to rethink the meaning of the existence of the folk art that is friendly to nature. This course will work with students to think about the future of folk art regeneration and develop innovative proposals through the Dadu Mountain Style survey and the implementation process of broom.
