人類的進化隨著環境的變遷,孕育了多元的文化與生活行為與方式,此演化的過程達爾文提出了「NATURE SELECTION」的見解與論述;殊不知期間的自然演化中,生活的創新扮演著極其重要的角色,而維持、持續、精進進而演化出人類食衣住行育樂的需求與滿足。
本課程旨在討論人類生存的意義與價值;從人類進化過程之中伴隨的的生活方式的究竟是生活改變了人類抑或是人類改變了生活方式?從課程的導論中依序會討論幾個生命價值與創新的問題:「生命創新意義與價值」、「創新哲理與思辨」、「生命的永續何以需要創新」、「創新價值如何落實」「創新的本質與生存的意義」...等議題作為學期課程前期的主軸,其中再輔以實際的案例介紹與討論,廣泛的論述與追求新的詮釋與解決方案作為本課程學習的核心。上述的課程綱要主要是引導學生對於生活的起源脈絡進一步的理解、尊重、欣賞、接受中進一步能省思與思變。
然而生活中的創意與演化是息息相關的;本課程後段屬於創新與設計相關的課程,課程內包含了設計沿革史、設計的範疇、設計的本質、設計的形式、設計與生活、設計與產業等內容,讓學生可以了解設計源流與概略,有助於不同專業領域對於設計的認識。依據時代的變遷從遠古的石器時代演化到現在,其實我們的生活皆離不開產品,無論在食衣住行育樂的各種構面上,經由設計過的產品不斷的隨著生活的改變而推陳出新,滿足了生活者的實用性、便利性、安全性等,也因為設計者的巧思,因而適切的改善了生活品質、此外,設計者也會對於未來的生活提供了新的目標與方向;前者稱為「設計的改善」,後者則是針對未來人類新式樣生活而提出「概念設計」,易言之;設計可以提升或改善生活的品質外同時也可以「創造」新的生活方式。再進一步解釋設計的效益除了生活外也可以帶動「產業」創造新的價值,提升產業競爭力改善產業體質、創造多元的價值;此外對於產業形象、商品的品牌建置也是可以透過產品設計與企劃,發展短中長期產品與商品的策略….。也可以簡單的說設計創造的效益就是生活價值、社會價值、國家的價值與人類進化的潤滑劑,設計背後的創新與創造才是價值創造的本質。
期待藉由本課程學生可以廣泛的理解人類生存的意義以及在設計創新、創造與價值效益的基本概念。

However, creativity and evolution in life are closely related; the latter part of this course belongs to a course related to innovation and design, which includes the history of design history, design scope, design essence, design form, design and life, design and industry, etc. Content, allowing students to understand the design source flow and generalization, helping different professional fields to recognize designs. As the changes of the times evolved from the ancient stone age to the present, our lives are actually free from products. Further explain the benefits of design, in addition to life, it can also bring "production" to create new value, enhance industry competitiveness, improve industry quality, and create diversified value; in addition, for the industry image and brand building of products, you can also use product design and enterprise planning. , strategies for developing short- and medium-term products and products...
