Course Target

■※Course Objectives and Contents (limited to 2000 Chinese) Ten thousand years ago, our old human ancestors developed agricultural technology, which also promoted the evolution of so-called human civilization and was restricted by wildlife resources. The impact of farming civilization includes four major items: 1. The population of ethnic groups has increased rapidly; 2. The technical development of wild animal cultivation; 3. The disappearance naturally. Over the past thousand years, human persecution of wild animals on Earth has been notoriously shattered, polluted, and exotic species. Humans live by this biological species that relies on the stability of the entire ecological system. However, in the advancement of scientific and technological civilization, humans often ignore the importance of our own ecological system to survive, especially the functions and services provided by the ecological system. Humans' impact on ecological systems is beyond the reach of other organisms, and humans must think more about us and all the wild creatures living in ecological systems and their environments. Wild animal ecology is the main source of knowledge to understand wild animals and serves as the basis for the theoretical background of management. It no longer exists as a scientific institution and has transformed into popular knowledge of citizen science. Only by understanding can one pay attention to it and devote himself to childcare work. This is also a must-have ecological value for modern citizens. This course will also introduce the reproduction of wild animals in Taiwan. As for wild breastfeeding animals in Taiwan as an example, there is only one species of sika deer in the wild. Studies in recent years have shown that leopards and water can almost be said to be in the wild. The wild is absolutely irrelevant. This course also introduces policies and regulations related to wild animal conservation, such as the domestic wild animal conservation law implemented in 1989. The wild animal grades that need to be conserved are (1) medium and large species or high-level food chain species, (2) species with island homogeneity or known to have narrow ethnic distribution, and (3) those with high economic value but are used as hunting. There are three major types, including the priority of species. This course will also guide students to popularize science education and promotion design for wild animal literature and nature photography, and discuss how to combine the cross-section and examples of humanities and science.
