本課程希望透過研讀唐宋詩詞的相關資料、課堂的講解與討論，讓學生充分了解詩詞的特性，詮解詩詞的語意、體悟詩詞的意境；並學會兼顧情理、形式與情感、內外緣知識，對詩詞作多面向、多層次的體會，培養出欣賞詩詞的興趣，認知傳統詩詞的美感特質，轉化為人生的價值觀。教育的目的不應只是知識的累積（瑣碎的知識都可由網路上查到，所以根本不需要花掉生命中大部分的時間去機械式的記憶）。
本課程是觀念的啟發、創造力的激發、熱情的迸發、與學習如何解決生命的逆境與困難。所以修課學生應能自我要求於課後大量接觸、閱讀相關文本。
本課程透過五個單元主題(愛情、友情、自然、 歷史、自我)，將詩詞介紹給同學，希望藉此能培養同學對欣賞詩詞的閱讀興趣、訓練同學對詩詞的鑑賞能力，並且能體會詩詞所呈現的生命智慧，進而建立個人對生命的價值。This course hopes to study relevant information about Tang and Song lyrics, and class explanations and discussions, so that students can fully understand the characteristics of lyrics, interpret the meaning of lyrics, and understand the artistic conception of lyrics; and learn to combine the rationality, form and emotion, and internal and external knowledge. Make a multi-faceted and multi-level physical meeting on the poem, cultivate the interest in appreciating the poem, understand the aesthetic characteristics of traditional poems, and transform them into the value of life. The purpose of education should not be just the accumulation of knowledge (all knowledge can be found online, so it does not require spending most of the time in life to mechanical memory).
This course is about the initiation of thoughts, the excitement of creativity, the bursting of passion, and learning how to solve the adversity and difficulties of life. Therefore, students in the course should be able to self-require and read a lot of relevant texts after the course.
This course introduces poems to students through five individual themes (love, friendship, nature, history, and self), hoping to cultivate students' interest in reading poems, training classmates' ability to comprehend poems, and be able to learn poems in aphorism-oriented manner, and be able to learn poems in aphorism-oriented manners, and be able to learn poems in aphorism-oriented manners. The presented life wisdom can thus establish personal value for life.
