讓同學在課程上認知半導體發展為我們帶來國際競爭力與經濟效益，也讓同學了解生產過程會消耗大量的水電資源，同時排放過多二氧化碳與產生廢棄物影響環境。要如何兼顧環境永續因應ESG要求，成為台灣半導體產業未來發展的計劃方向。課堂上補充如何在先進製程技術的節點設計上，如何實踐綠色創新，逐年精進晶片耗能與縮小體積，同時在管理面上如何導入ESG，因此在半導體產業就有半導體產品製程層面及回收循環永續層面、人才發展層面、責任供應鏈治理等永續環境的作法。讓同學提早接觸業界動態及國際綠色永續趨勢，在通識的領域上提早接觸提早佈局。

The course allows students to understand that the development of semiconductors has brought us international competitiveness and economic benefits. It also allows students to understand that the production process consumes a large amount of water and electricity resources, while emitting excessive carbon dioxide and producing waste that affects the environment. How to take into account environmental sustainability and respond to ESG requirements has become the future development direction of Taiwan's semiconductor industry. The class adds how to practice green innovation in the node design of advanced process technology, how to improve chip energy consumption and reduce size year by year, and how to introduce ESG in management. Therefore, in the semiconductor industry, there are sustainable environmental practices such as semiconductor product manufacturing process level, recycling cycle sustainability level, talent development level, and responsible supply chain governance. Let students be exposed to industry trends and international green sustainability trends early, and be exposed to early layout in the field of general knowledge.
