「漢字」是現今人類語言文字文化中，在形式表現上深具形象思維的文字，而其中所謂「書法藝術」之展現，更是漢語語言文字文化中最具特色的一種藝術形式。在華語教學以及其習得過程中，「漢字書寫」是相當重要的研習課程；故本課程之設立是希望能透過對「漢字結構之分析」、「漢字演變歷史之研究」，以及「書法藝術之習得與賞析」進行教學，使其學習者在日後進行華語相關教學上，能將漢字之文化、藝術，以及「正體字」之價值發用出來。
"Han" is a text with deep figurative thought in the form of human language culture today, and the so-called "Book Art" is the most distinctive artistic form in Han language culture. In Chinese teaching and its learning process, "Hanzi's calligraphy" is a very important research course; therefore, the establishment of this course is to hope to teach "analysis of the structure of Han characters", "research on the history of Han characters' evolution", and "acquisition and analysis of calligraphy art", so that learners can use the value of Han characters' culture, art, and "orthodox characters" in the future teaching of Chinese language.
