對於工業設計而言,設計最終所呈現給消費者的產品,最終仰賴於構成產品的三大要素即是造型、材料與色彩。其中色彩的應用與表現,除了可以影響消費者的偏好,協助提升產品的銷售與滿意度,更重要的是,透過適當的色彩應用,可以做到更完善的意義傳達與情感的喚起。
本課程規劃三大部分的內容,第一個部分為講解與說明視覺的構成;第二個部分則著重於色彩與人之間的關係,在此將人生活中所見到的色彩與意涵進行說明再切入有關色彩搭配的基礎知識;第三個部分則有作演練進行色彩創作與產品色分析之應用。
透過三個部分的內容建立學生對於色彩學的基礎知識與架構並學習利用之。
另外本課程分成四大主題,第一主題為生活色彩、第二主題為環境色彩、第三主題為色彩創作、第四主題為CMF色彩建構,每個主題都將於課堂中講授色彩原理與應用,以理論基礎為設計應用的實作回家作業,分組與個人作業交錯並搭配上台報告或發表展示For industrial design, the three major elements that design ultimately reflect the products that consumers finally present are modeling, materials and colors. 本課程前期將以生活中所看見的各種色彩做為色彩學的引言,目的在於讓學生了解色彩在文化、宗教與產品上都具有「語意」之功能。對色彩間補色、寒暖色、對比色….等色彩基本知識展開論述,配合色彩的情感與形狀對色彩的相對關係,做為彩計劃的基本知識。並將以實做色彩計劃使學生建立自身色彩的搭配個性與色彩情感的應用。
