This is the analysis course following Harmony I & II. The goal of this course is to continuously equip the students the essential analysis skills through the study of the standard forms in the Western Music from the seventeenth century to the present. Continued from the fall semester's discussions on tonality, harmony, motives, phrases, the focus of the spring semester will be the introduction of the standard forms as: the simple forms like Binary/Rounded Binary/Ternary, Rondo, Sonata Form-Sonata Rondo/Concerto Form.
