在全球化的狀態下，因為族群、性別、社區的多樣性增加，產生更多元的文化。台灣是個多元族群的社會，我們如何發揮多元文化社會的優勢，建構平等發展、共容共存的族群關係，而在社會工作專業從業人員，又如何因應多元社會所造成的改變，需要培養那些能力與素養，希望在本課堂能幫助學生在面對多元文化的情境中，能以更理解且多元觀點因應變動的社會。

Under the state of globalization, more diverse cultures have been produced due to the increase in ethnicity, gender and community diversity. Taiwan is a multi-ethnic society. How do we develop the advantages of a multi-cultural society and build an equal development and coexistence ethnic relationship. In social work, we need to cultivate those abilities and qualities when professionals work in society, and how to respond to changes caused by a multi-ethnic society, we need to cultivate those abilities and qualities. I hope that this class can help students to better understand and diversify the society in the context of multi-culturalism.
