本課程為一學年的課程，第一學期旨在幫助學生瞭解社會團體工作的基本理論和實踐，提供體驗團體工作的機會並擬定團體計畫書;第二學期針對團體帶領技巧及多元族群團體議題做進一步認識與操作。第二學期課程內容包括以下方面：
深化社會團體工作的實踐技巧和方法、認識不同類型的社會團體工作、掌握影響團體運作的元素，例如團體動力、領導角色和技能、並增進對於團體過程的分析技術以完成成員評估和需求，達到社會團體工作的介入目標。。
