教育目標 Course Target

文化研究對於日常的關注,提供了我們從這些日常經驗和感受反應,進而理解當中的社會、歷史、文化脈絡,而情感或情緒反應看似屬個人心理的狀態,實則一方面是這些社會運作如何滲入並體現在個體,另一方面個體的反應同時又牽動著社會的轉變。本課程首先介紹日常文化的重要性,從Raymond Williams提出的「情感結構」作為理解當代社會文化運作的管道,進而介紹為何情感在現代社會成為重要的議題。第二部分以新自由主義為主題,探討新自由主義的情感面向,尤其中產階級的意識型態如何透過情感成為主導文化,而「正向情感」如何成為產業,以及母職被賦予的幸福感和教養的焦慮,都同時如何加強這樣的中產想像和新自由主義的成功情感主體。第三部分則介紹如何分析情感,並帶入學期報告探討的提案討論。第四部分選擇以壞情感切入,思考隨著經濟衰退而幸福感不在時,厭世如何成為一種回應,進而介紹像是酷兒壞情感怎麼作為一種回應正向、個人化的政治。第五部分切入自我和集體情感的關聯,探討對於過去的哀悼和歷史創傷,以及透過移民對於未來的希望,談地緣政治下的文化感覺,最後也選擇數位文化中的情感運作如何帶來連結與分隔。本課程一方面介紹學生認識情感的文化政治理論與分析,另一方面培養學生從文化政治的角度,批判地理解特定社會與公共議題。Cultural research focuses on daily life, providing us with our daily experience and feeling reactions to understand the social, historical, and cultural ties at the same time. The emotional or emotional reaction seems to belong to the state of personal psychology, actually on the one hand, how these social operations enter and form the current individual body, and on the other hand, the individual reactions also change the society. This course first introduces the importance of daily culture, and uses the "emotional structure" proposed by Raymond Williams as a channel to understand the cultural movements of contemporary society, and then introduces why emotions have become an important topic in modern society. The second part focuses on neoliberalism, exploring the emotional orientation of neoliberalism, especially how the middle-level ideology becomes the dominant culture through emotions, and how "positive emotions" become the industry, as well as the sense of happiness and the anxiety of education given by motherhood, all of which strengthen the successful emotional subject of such middle-level imagination and neoliberalism. The third part introduces how to analyze emotions and introduces proposal discussions into the school period. The fourth part chooses to start with bad emotions, thinking about how the world becomes a response when the economic decline is no longer there, and then introduces how cool bad emotions act as a response to positive and personal politics. The fifth part touches on the relationship between self and collective emotions, explores the mourning and historical injustice about the past, and discusses cultural perceptions under earthly politics through immigration's hope for the future, and finally chooses how emotional operations in digital culture bring connections and separations. On the one hand, this course introduces the cultural and political theory and analysis of students' understanding of emotions, and on the other hand, it cultivates students to critically understand specific social and public issues from the perspective of cultural politics.
