This course is based on the basic theory of individual economics and combines the theory of the competition to analyze how manufacturer interaction affects industry structure and market performance. The course content includes the characteristics of severity and competition behavior, the market structure comparison of different industries, and the design and impact of anti-severity and market control policies. The course emphasizes the economic phenomena that are closer to reality with impairment competition and oligopolytic models, and through case analysis, it helps students understand the application of industry organization theory in practice and enhances their insight and analytical capabilities in industry structure and policy challenges. This course will enable students to integrate theoretical discussions and deeply understand the impact of economic policies on market and industry development.
產業組織是經濟學科中發展較迅速、理論較創新並且是與現實經濟緊密結合的領域之一。本課程以個體經濟學的基本理論為基礎，以基礎賽局理論為架構，探討廠商間的互動行為對產業的影響。課程主要圍繞產業內廠商之間的獨佔與競爭關係行為，不同市場結構之特性與差異，以及政府制訂的反壟斷與管制政策相關的理論基礎。此外，課程中亦配合產業現況及個案的討論以引發學生對產業組織理論的認識，進而產生興趣，培養學生具備分析能力以了解各產業環境及政府政策在實務上所面臨的課題。
The industry organization is one of the areas that are developing faster, theoretically innovative and closely linked to real economy in economics. This course is based on the basic theories of individual economics and the basic competition theory as the framework to explore the impact of manufacturers' interactive behavior on industries. The course mainly covers the independent and competitive behaviors between manufacturers within the industry, the characteristics and differences of different market structures, and the theoretical basis for the government-made anti-repression and regulatory policies. In addition, the course is also coordinated with industry presentations and case discussions to attract students to understand the theoretical discussion of industry organizations, thereby creating interest, and cultivating students to have analytical skills to understand the topics faced by various industry environments and government policies in practice.
