為提升學生畢業職場競爭力與管理職涯發展，除了在課堂學習商管基礎與專業知識之外，學生在進入職場後還須具備企業組織所需的核心職能 (core competence) 與管理職能 (managerial competence)，包括：專案與流程管理、目標設定、溝通技巧、培養部屬、衝突管理與團隊建立、問題解決、激勵部屬、會議引導、創新改進、談判等能力。
本課程與東海大學企管系友會合作開設，以培育學生未來進入職場所需具備之管理職能為目的，包括規劃力、溝通力、領導力、創新力、與執行力等。為了要發展學生的管理職能，除了講授管理職能的基本觀念與實務之外，也將邀請到業界資深管理職位的講者或業師，講授在不同產業領域的經營管理實務、管理工作在組織的定位與價值，建立學生對於管理職務的正確心態與認識，透過對管理職能相關實務的認識、學習與培訓，做為學生未來管理職涯發展的基礎。In order to improve students' graduating field competition and management career development, in addition to learning business management basics and professional knowledge in class, students must also have the core competence and management skills required by corporate organizations after entering the field.
