Environmental planning and management is an interdisciplinary course that integrates economic, social and environmental knowledge and covers many fields such as environmental science, economics, administration, law, management and computer science. Due to the wide scope involved, beginners often find it difficult to fully grasp the essence of the problem due to a lack of core concepts of sustainable management and systems thinking, and are prone to fall into fragmented thinking. This course takes systems theory as its core and emphasizes holistic and dynamic systems thinking to help learners gain insight into the root causes of problems and avoid decision-making limitations. The course content includes systematic management, evaluation, planning and control methods, combined with performance evaluation tools, aiming to cultivate the ability to solve complex environmental problems and effectively apply cross-disciplinary knowledge in practice.
