This course aims at providing an understanding of the principles of analytical chemistry and demonstrating how these principles can be applied to environmental sciences. Students will be able to find the relevance of chemistry to environmental analysis and to apply their knowledge to the qauntification and qualification of contaminants in the real world.

此課程開設之目的，在使學生能對微生物實驗方法有充分認識，未來能靈活運用這些觀念與方法於微生物學相關學術領域，如生態保育、臨床醫學、遺傳工程、分子生物學或甚至是跨學科的範疇。藉認識地球上微尺度的眾多生物，而能探索肉眼無法看見的生命現象，進而認知生命尺度的廣闊。

The purpose of this course is to enable students to have a full understanding of microbial experimental methods, and to flexibly apply these concepts and methods in microbiology-related academic fields in the future, such as ecological conservation, clinical medicine, genetic engineering, molecular biology, or even interdisciplinary fields. By understanding the many micro-scale organisms on the earth, we can explore life phenomena that are invisible to the naked eye, and then understand the vastness of the scale of life.
