The course objectives are listed in the following text: This course aims to deeply explore the philosophical thoughts of Guo Xiang, an important representative of Wei Yanxuan, and understand his unique interpretation of "Zangzi" and its philosophical system. At the same time, this course will analyze the historical background of Guo Xiangzhe and its way of thinking about problems of worldly ethics and political order, cultivate students' critical thinking and philosophical text interpretation ability, and try to talk about Guo Xiangzhe's thoughts and modern philosophical issues. The course content includes: Guo Xiang's life and ideological background, the core concepts of "Zhuangzi Notes" such as "no", "natural", "self-generating" and their ethics and political philosophy; and explore the meaning of Guo Xiang's philosophy in modern ethics, politics and life. The class will combine the detailed reading and discussion of "Zangzi Notes" to help students raise philosophical problems from the original text and train their ability to analyze philosophical thinking from a critical and comparative perspective.
