本授業では日本語によるディスカッション能力を高めることを目指す。具体的には、映像作品や文献資料を用いて、あるテーマについて自分なりの視点を持って考えながら自分の意見を伝えたり相手の意見を聞いたりし、互いの立場や考えの違いを理解し合うコミュニケーションを身につける。また、自主学習及びチームワークを重視し、テーマについての情報収集、資料検索、作成、発表をすることができるようになる。
