編輯(editor),一種專業之名,一直以來令人聯想起連結著媒體到讀者間,每一環節之人。然而「編輯」作為動詞(editing),其所具備的選擇、編排、交換訊息的工作,在當代的資訊生活空間裡,已然成為一種行事思考的方法與能力。換言之,在研究者所謂的「媒介世紀」,我們應該重新理解何謂當代的「編輯力」:從傳統的守門人,轉為積極的內容創作者。
本課程將從編輯學的理論化,涵蓋至不同媒介的案例與簡史,如報紙副刊、文藝雜誌,到文學出版,進而帶領學生認識當代編輯方法,並親自參與實務。養成以編輯思維觀看文學場域、現象之生成。
認識當代編輯學趨勢,及在跨媒介社會中,從紙本到雲端的各式媒介特質,與編者嶄新的角色。奠基進入實務工作,乃至編輯學理論研究的多元能力。Editor, a professional name, has always been reminiscent of people who connect media to readers, every chapter. However, as editing, its work of selecting, editing, and exchanging messages has become a method and ability to act and think in the contemporary information living space. In other words, in what researchers call "median century", we should re-understand what contemporary "editor" is: from a traditional doorkeeper to an aggressive content creator.
This course will take the theory of editing to cases and history from different media, such as newspaper supplements, literary magazines, and literature publishing, and then lead students to understand contemporary editing methods and participate in the practice. Develop the creation of literary fields and phenomena through editing thinking.
Understand the trend of contemporary editing and the variety of media features from paper to cloud in the cross-media society, and play new roles with editors. Laying the foundation into practical work and even editing the diverse abilities of theoretical research.
