韓愈、柳宗元作為唐文的代表作家，其作品所蘊含的質素，不論是思想、情感的深刻與激烈，或是充滿實驗性質的創作、復古的追求等，都是極為繁富的。韓愈文中對古代傳統的永恆追尋，對當下存在的思考探索，形成了韓文不拘一格，充滿張力的樣貌。柳宗元的政治貶謫，是他文學創作最直接的根源，在貶謫歷程中，他透過各種文類思考自我，探尋存在的合理性，是其文之創作最值得注意之處。本課程藉由閱讀韓、柳文各種體類的作品，探究他們在散文史上的創作貢獻、主題開發，在「古」的追尋中，如何思考當下，直面現實。並藉由課程的討論，引導同學思考韓、柳在困境中如何安頓生命、關懷政治現實，進而在「文」的思考與實踐中書寫生命的憂喜與領悟，從而確立了文學史上獨一無二的作家身影。As representative writers of Tang Wen, Korean Yu and Liu Zongyuan are extremely rich in quality, whether it is the profound and intense thoughts and emotions of their works, or the creation full of experimental quality, the pursuit of revival, etc. The eternal pursuit of ancient traditions and the thinking and exploration of the present existence in Korean Yuwen has formed a look of unconventional and full of strength in Korean.
